ELIGIBILITY, DEADLINES AND CONSIDERATIONS

 

Releases from November 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024 are eligible for nomination consideration.

To be considered for a 2025 Award, submissions must be received by 11:59 pm ET on May 01, 2025.

Online submissions can be made by producers, artists, managers, publicists, radio stations, music and entertainment executives and record labels.

Music submissions are reviewed by the RNMA Selections Committee and evaluated based on composition, melody and lyrics.

Nomination selections will be published on the RNMA website on or before July 1, 2025. 

Submissions to the Awards do not guarantee a nomination.

KEY SUBMISSION DATES AND DEADLINES​

Eligibility period: November 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024


Submission period opens: March 01, 2025


Deadline for all submissions: May 01, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST

 

    In order to complete your submission, you must have the following:
  1. Biography of artist or band (maximum 200 words )
  2. Mp3 files of the single, EP, or album
  3. Photo of artist/band
  4. Photo of album artwork
  5. Contact information if selected for a nomination
  6. Contact information for publicist, manager, and/or agent (if applicable)
The selection process for nominations involves a meticulous review by the RNMA Selections Committee, evaluating submissions based on composition, melody, and lyrics. While national distribution is not a prerequisite, artists must have released music within the specified timeframe, ensuring that their work is accessible to Canadian audiences.
With 16 diverse categories ranging from Male and Female Vocalists of the Year to Top Album/EP of the Year, RNMA encompasses the breadth and depth of Canadian Reggae and Dancehall talent. From the soulful crooners to the lyrical maestros, each category celebrates the unique contributions of artists within the genre.
