2026 Awards: Call for Submissions

Ready to take your place in Canadian Reggae and Dancehall history? The 3rd Annual Reggae North Music Awards is officially preparing for its landmark year.

 

Key Dates & Deadlines

  • Eligibility Period: All music must have been released between November 1, 2024, and November 1, 2025.

  • Submission Deadline: All entries must be received by 11:59 PM ET on May 01, 2026.

  • Nomination Announcement: The official 2026 nominees will be published on our website on or before July 1, 2026.

We welcome online submissions from all sectors of the industry, including:

  • Artists & Producers

  • Managers & Publicists

  • Record Labels & Music Executives

  • Radio Stations

 

Review Process

Music submissions are carefully reviewed by the RNMA Selections Committee. Each entry is evaluated based on the core pillars of musical excellence: Composition, Melody, and Lyrics.

 

Important Participation Guidelines

  • Accuracy Matters: Please ensure all information is completed in full. This data will be used for all official contact regarding nominations and awards.

  • Review the Rules: To ensure your entry is qualified, please review our Submitting Policy and Balloting Procedures carefully before completing your form.

  • Final Selection: Please note that a submission to the awards does not guarantee a nomination.

RNMA Submission Checklist 

Before you hit “Send,” make sure you have the following ready to ensure your submission is complete and eligible:

  • Eligibility Check: Confirm the track/project was released between Nov 1, 2024, and Nov 1, 2025.

  • Audio Assets: High-quality audio file (MP3) or active streaming link (as specified in the policy).

  • Visuals: High-resolution artist or group photo for promotional use.

  • Credits: Full list of songwriter and producer credits for each track submitted.

  • Contact Details: Accurate phone and email for both the artist and management.

  • Artist Bio: A short, professional biography (approximately 200 words).

  • Residency: Proof of Canadian residency or citizenship (as required).

  • Policy Review: A final read-through of the Submitting Policy and Balloting Procedures to ensure full compliance.

Submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted. All entries must meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.

      • Artist or Band Biography
        Maximum 200 words.

      • Music Files
        MP3 files of the submitted single, EP, or album.

      • Artist/Band Photo
        One high-resolution image in PNG or JPEG format.

      • Album Artwork
        One high-resolution image in PNG or JPEG format.

      • Primary Contact Information
        Required if your submission is selected for nomination.

      • Industry Contact Information (if applicable)
        Publicist, manager, and/or agent details.
